7 FORCES THAT GENERATE DIVINE SPEED (Gen. 26: 1-6, 12-22).
GOD is against stagnation. HE is bothered when any of HIS children is not making progress. HE accepts no excuses for not moving forward. HE does not regard barriers as excuse for not progressing in life. It is your heritage to change status and add value to your life (Prov 4:18). There is nothing wrong in starting small but it is wrong to remain small (Job 8:17). There are seven forces responsible for turnaround in the life of Isaac.
1. Divine Connection:
Dry business, famine, hardship has always being and would always be. It is your connection to GOD that determines whether you would remain there or progress (Eccl. 9:4). Are you joined to the living GOD? Does HE have your name in the Lamb’s book of life? How current are you with your Maker? (Job 22:21-30). It means submission to GOD, being at peace with HIM. It means to accept instructions from HIS mouth. It is to lay HIS Word in your heart (Josh. 1:8). It means removing wickedness from your heart. Prosperity results. There would be restoration of losses. Defense, answers to prayers result. The light of GOD’S favor would shine on you. It is sin that disconnects a man from GOD (Prov. 28:13).
2. Divine direction (Gen 26 vs. 2-3):
One wrong step can swallow previous successes. Isaac was protected from going down, Prov. 3:5-6. He was guaranteed favor. He possessed his possession.
3. Putting your mind to work:
The soundness of a vehicle’s engine affects its speed. The mind is the engine of your life. The work-ability of your mind makes men to mind you. Despite his problem, Isaac still put his mind to work. He went into irrigation. GOD did not tell him to do so. GOD has given man brain so he can give GOD rest (Rom. 12:2). He then went to sow. Do something. Any gain in life is as a result of the use of the brain.
4. Pursue wisdom:
Wisdom is a coin with two sides. Its first side is direction which tells what to do. The other side is instruction which tells how to do it. You cannot access the treasure of divine speed without wisdom (Ps. 3:13; 119:98). One should not be right in the heart and empty in the head.
5. Cultivate partnership with the Holy Ghost (2 Cor. 13:14):
Holy Ghost is a personality that wants our communion and friendship. Refrain from offending Him, regard Him. Dirtiness in a man’s life pursues Him away. He in turn imputes wisdom and supernatural abilities.
6. Give generously (Gen 26 vs. 12):
Giving is the force that opens the door of favor. It distinguishes a man for favor. You must be a habitual giver (1 Kgs. 3:4-5). Your speed to the next season is determined by the seed you are sowing this season. No one can change level without giving. Giving is living. It is what makes a man. Church project projects life (Gal. 6:7).
7. Be ready to contend in prayers:
He was resisted at every turn. What you can’t fight for, you are not qualified for. Do spiritually based warfare prayer. Contend in prayer for your blessings.
