Reports coming out of England suggest Chelsea have struck up a deal that seals their first transfer of the summer.

Reports suggest that a deal has been reached between Chelsea and Roma for the transfer of Radja Nainggolan to the West London club.

Nainggolan, 27, who has scored 10 goals in 66 appearances for Roma is greatly admired by incoming boss, Antonio Conte, and it is believed that he personally orchestrated the signing. Nainloggan is just one of several Italy-based players rumored to be on his way to Chelsea. Georgio Chielini is one other player rumored to be on his way to Chelsea.

The deal that will ensure Nainggolan’s transfer to Chelsea was reached after lengthy hours of negotiation in which the wages bonuses and very many other contractual issues were ironed out between the two parties.

The addition, Nainggolan will boost Chelsea’s failing defensive midfield which is responsible for the poor defensive form of Chelsea this season.

The Belgium international midfielder also possesses great pace, balance and vision on the ball. These qualities will make the work of creative players like Fabregas and Hazard easier as they would have more freedom upfront.

Nainloggan is going to be many of the new faces that will be joining the west London side in a summer of massive rebuilding after a dismal defense of their premier league title. Leicester’s Kante and Everton duo of Lukaku and John stones are among other players who have caught the interest of new boss, Antonio Conte.

The defender will reportedly sign a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are also rumored to be in the run in to secure the services of Roma’s director of football, Walter Sabbatini whose contract is due to run out in the summer.

Reports coming out of Italy also confirm the transfer while stating that the clubs are still haggling over the transfer fee believed to be around £10m.

Neither of the clubs have confirmed the reports.
