Manchester City midfielder David Silva has been confirmed to miss next week’s UEFA champions league match against Real Madrid on Wednesday due to a hamstring injury.
The Spaniard picked up the injury on Tuesday night in the first leg of the Champions League against the Bernabeu team.
In the game which ended in a goalless drought, the Spaniard had limped off the pitch. Medical reports have ruled the skillful midfielder out for three weeks.

This means the player automatically will not feature in the return leg of the semifinal match at Bernabeu.

However, many football fans have called the Spaniard’s performance this season for Manchester City. Averagely, Silva has not disappointed but has got some drop of form unlike the spectacular outing he enjoyed in last year

David Silva will be available for the Champions League final should Manchester City get there, says boss Manuel Pellegrini.

Midfielder Yaya Toure, who missed the first leg because of a thigh injury, returned to training on Friday and will be assessed before the game in Madrid.

The Ivorian international has not enjoyed a top form performance this season due to injury. Toure has played less matches this season compared to last season.

Now that David Silva is out on injury, Manchester City will now hope that Toure junior overcomes his injury scare before the team travels to Spain against Real Madrid in the second leg which comes up next Wednesday.
