Another death news has yet hit the footballing world as Dinamo Bucharest and Cameroon midfielder Patrick Ekeng, just passed on.

Patrick Ekeng who died at age 26 was said to collapsed on the pitch of play on Friday night.

The Cameroonian had fallen to the floor in the 70th minute of a televised Romanian league match between Dinamo and Viitorul.

Afterwards, the Cameroonian FA confirmed the news on Twitter, while Ekeng’s former club Cordoba tweeted: “We have no words to express our sadness at the loss.”

A source has disclosed that the Cameroonian had harbored a heart attack before death. Ekeng had also previously played for Le Mans and Lausanne.

The death of Patrick Ekeng is not the first from the Portuguese speaking and footballing country of Cameroon in recent that would occur while the players were in action for their teams.
