Facebook Messenger’s Instant Games was Launched in May 2017 and has gotten upgrades with features like a new live-streaming option that lets you broadcast Instant Games to all your friends and followers with Facebook Live. one other new feature will be rolled out for select games in which users will be able to video chat and play these games during a video call.

The new live streaming functionality for Facebook Messenger Instant Games allows casual gamers who are looking to share their gameplay and have an audience watch it are in luck as Instant Games on Facebook Messenger now supports sharing with Facebook Live.

To get started: while playing a game, tap the camera icon located in the upper right corner of the game. Once selected, you can choose the audience you want to broadcast to and add a short description to say something about your video. To start recording, just press the “Start Live Video” button. Once the broadcast ends, the video will also get published to your profile for your followers and friends to view later.

Next up, for over 245 million using Facebook Messenger’s video chat feature monthly, the messaging app will begin testing a feature that will enable users to play games while video chatting with each other. Words With Friends from Zynga will be the first game to use it, in early 2018, and will allow friends to watch each other’s reactions as they run up the score.

Instant Games for Messenger started with over 20 games from several developers looking to allow people to easily discover, share and play games on Messenger. Facebook states that “Since our launch, the platform continues to evolve with more games and features for developers to build flexible, rich game-play. This includes leader-boards and tournament support, visually engaging and customizable game messages and CTA buttons, along with the option to introduce meaningful re-engagement capabilities with game bots.” Facebook also makes plans for new games in 2018 such as Angry Birds and Sonic Jump that will be added to the ever-expanding Instant Games list.

The Instant Games are available in 30 countries including Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Great Britain, Canada, United States, Japan, Netherlands, Australia, Austria, Latvia, Germany, Ireland, Belgium, New Zealand, France, Singapore, Finland, Hong Kong, Russian Federation, Estonia, Taiwan, Slovenia, Puerto Rico, Cyprus, Israel, Lithuania, Spain, and Italy.

For Instant Games on iPad and iPhone

Step 1. Make sure to update Facebook Messenger to the latest version to play your favorite game.

Step 2. Next, open any conversation.

Step 3. Now, tap on the tiny game-pad controller which is next to GIF icon in the feature strip.

Step 4. Next, a huge list of games will appear on the screen.

For Instant Games on Mac and Windows PC

Step 1. Open Facebook on your computer. Then start/open a conversation in Messenger.
