A Middlesbrough football fan has been arrested for allegedly urinating into the opposition goalkeeper’s water bottle during an English championship game.

This happened at Queens Park Rangers’s Loftus Road ground during Boro’s 3-0 away win.

The fans talking about the incident on a forum indicated that the bottle is likely to have been taken earlier by the pitch invader and it is not clear if the goalkeeper of the team, Alex Smithies drank from it.

A dedicated football officer for Cleveland Police described the act as being disgusting and said, “I will do all I can to remove him from attending Boro games again.

Currently, he has been bailed, but would appear in court next week as he has been charged with throwing an item into the pitch.
