IN A LITTLE WHILE
A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father. John 16:16
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 2Corinthians 4:17
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1
The planting season is always a time of endurance, you have some seeds, you could have eaten them, because you need to eat, but you decide to plant them, and in order to plant, you have to till the soil, clear the bushes, make ridges, then plant the seeds, water it, weed it, water it, wait on it, add fertilizer, get rid of pests, weed and re-weed until the plant grows, matures and bring forth, even when it does brings forth, you allow the fruits to mature before you harvest it.
This is exactly the case with us, currently we do not see Jesus Christ, yet we believe in him, serve Him and live our lives for him, we even make sacrifices for Him, suffer insults and humiliations for Him, but all these are for a little while, because the harvest time is at hand, the time of the re-appearing of Jesus Christ is at hand, the time of our harvest is at hand.
God made a remarkable law in the book of Genesis 8:22, He said while the earth remains, seed time and harvest shall not cease, this means for every seed you sow in your life whether in God’s kingdom or in the things you do daily in your life there is harvest. God cannot be mocked, what a man sows, he would also definitely reap, (Galatians 6:7-9) fruits are usually in multiple fold of the seeds sown, so seeds sown in wickedness would yield greater wickedness, seeds sown in love would yield greater love, seed sown in tears would yield immeasurable tears of joy, this is our hope, it would only take a little while then harvest would be here.
The harvest time is always a time of joy, just as a woman forgets all her birth pains once her child is born, so also all the stress and inconvenience you are going through today would be totally forgotten, because the reward is in your hands and it is everlasting, it is eternal, it outweighs the troubles you went through.
Finally you see the Lord Jesus Christ and He says to you: Well done thou good and faithful servant (Matthew 25:23). Nothing else in all creation compares to this simple statement to be said to you in just a little while.
