Simon Whitehouse Steps Down as J.W Anderson
Simon Whitehouse will be making his exit as J.W. Anderson’s chief executive in December. This leadership change, which is the latest to come at French conglomerate LVMH, is being adduced to personal reasons. The London-based company has said that Whitehouse will “take up different opportunities in 2018,”
Simon Whitehouse in the first CEO of J.W. Anderson; he was appointed in 2014; eight months after LVMH took a minority stake in the company. Before then, he held executive positions at Matthew Williamson and Diesel. A company spokesperson said “A new replacement will be announced imminently,”
Last week, there was a major executive reshuffle at LVMH. Christian Dior Couture chief executive, Sidney Toledano, will soon be replaced by current Fendi executive Pietro Beccari. Toledano will take over as chairman of LVMH Fashion Group from Pierre-Yves Roussel. Roussel, who appointed Whitehouse to J.W Anderson, will shift into the role of special advisor to LVMH chairman and chief executive Bernard Arnault from January 2018.
Since coming under the LVMH umbrella, J.W Anderson had moved up about ten times from its £2 million turnover before 2014.
