Kendrick Lamar will be performing at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards
MTV announced yesterday on Twitter that rapper, Kendrick Lamar will be performing at the 2017 Video Music Awards. This will make it the second performance at the VMAs for the “Humble” star. Lamar’s first performance was in 2013 when he featured on Robin Thicke’s “Give It 2 U”, performing with Thicke himself as well as Miley Cyrus and 2 Chainz.
Kendrick Lamar, who has had a very successful year with his music, is leading the pack of nominations at the VMAs this year with eight nominations. His Damn album, his fourth, which was released in April this year has been very well received. Lamar’s Damn tour has also produced many exciting performances, making it a hit across the US.
Others who are slated to perform at the Video Music Awards this year include The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran and Lorde. The show will be hosted by Katy Perry who will also give a performance at the event.
