PIPELINES SET TO BE REPLACED IN NIGERIA

Last night, the Nigerian Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has said that most of its pipelines between Aba and Enugu would be removed as a result of re-occurrence vandalization.

Mr Anibor Kragha who is a member of the Group Executive Director of Refinery in NNPC said that the pipeline vandalization has lead to the reduction of fuel supply to different parts of Nigeria.

Talking to the State house of Assembly, he notified that most of the pipelines are under test to make sure that the pressure that would pass through would be in line with the strength of the pipes.

He mentioned that within two states in the Eastern part of the country Aba and Enugu, several pipelines have been demolished by vandals and hoodlums. An immediate replacement would ensure the availability of the commodity get to it’s source savely.

Also the Northern part of the country, Yola and Makurdi are also suffering from the vandalization, and he calls for a quick change in such pipelines as well.
