– THE ADAMIC MAN
– When a man dies, where does he go to?
– what is the body, soul and spirit?
THE ADAMIC MAN
Man, Adam’s descendant is more than just an animal; it is evident in his behavior, relationship with other men and his surrounding, his desire for knowledge and ability to sense the supernatural.
Man is a created being who has a body, a soul and a spirit. He is a spirit who has a soul and lives in a physical body.
Spirits are eternal; they cannot die like the physical bodies. While the soul of a man is the seat of his personality, his emotions, his mind and his will to make decisions.
When the body of a man dies, his spirit and soul live on, not separately but as a spiritual personality, (spirit-person or spirit-man) accountable for all the actions taken by the individual in question while in the body.
This is the point of recompense for all sins, but for all men there is a challenge, sin has transcended just the deeds of any individual while living in a body, sin has become as a nature handed down to all men by the first man when he violated the command of God.
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12
For as in Adam all die, … 1 Corinthians 15:22
Adam was not created a sinner, but he was given the opportunity by God to choose to either be righteous or be sinful, this was the purpose of the command he was given, he chooses to disobey this command willingly (Eve was deceived Adam wasn’t).
THE ADAMIC MAN
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 1 Timothy 2:14
The actions of Adam had terrible consequences for his race being the first of his kind.
For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. Romans 11:16
The reverse of this verse is also valid; “if the firstfruit be sinful, the lump is also sinful: and if the root be sinful, so are the branches”. Adam was the firstfruit and root of the human race; hence, he doomed his race by his actions as the verdict for his actions were already stated before his actions were taken: Death!
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
The verdict passed on the firstfruit is passed on the entire lump, as such all men inherited death from Adam.
The verdict; Death! Was passed on man by his Creator, this means that when a man is born, his body forms and grows only to face death! His soul develops only to face the decay of corruption which is death for the soul, and his spirit comes into existence only to face eternal damnation which also is death for the spirit.
This is the lot of all men who are descendants of Adam. This situation became so by Adam’s choosing, it did not please God that man had become doomed to perish, yet God would not go back on His verdict, He could not become a liar because of His love for man.
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Numbers 23:19
This is why Jesus had to come.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Jesus also said
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10
The provisions of God for the state of the Adamic man is found in believe in Jesus Christ.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23.
