Gabriel Fernando de Jesus, popularly known as Gabriel Jesus is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a forward for the Brazil national team and Premier League club, Manchester City.
He was born on the 3rd of April, which makes him 20-years-old.
He grew up in the northern region of Sao Paolo, Brazil and he learnt how to play ball on the streets of Brazil.
It was during this time that an amateur Brazilian club, Anhanguera noticed him and he began playing for them. Later, he joined Palmeiras and helped carry them to win their first title in 22 years.
When he came into the public eye
He came into the public eye in 2013 when he was able to score an amazing 54 goals in 48 matches for Palmeiras and in the following season, he was able to score 37 goals in 22 matches which attracted a lot of offers from both international and domestic clubs.
Awards Because of his astonishing feat in Palmeiras, he was voted the best newcomer of 2015 in Brazilian football.
Apart from this, he was also able to lift the Copa do Brazil trophy for Palmeiras
He brought Palmeiras back to life
Before Jesus got to the club, they had not lifted the title since 1994.
Now, they are regarded as one of the biggest and most successful team in the history of Brazil’s national championships.
